A Unified Emergency Response System
I worked with ActVnet to design an interactive, crisis-ready mapping system and a website that helps schools and first responders share real-time locations, updates, and visuals so they can respond faster and more confidently when every second counts.

Designing for Crisis, Not Just Convenience
ActVnet was created in response to a hard reality: schools are facing more threats and crises, and safety cannot be assumed anymore. Parents want peace of mind, and students deserve to focus on learning instead of worrying about danger. My work with ActVnet supports their mission to help schools and first responders coordinate more effectively when every second counts.
ActVnet focuses on emergency response, not everyday convenience. I designed the tool around the realities of a crisis, where educators, dispatch, and first responders need something fast, familiar, and easy to use under pressure.
Bringing the System to Life
I created an interactive, map-based system with clear building identifiers and layered features like event pins, real-time messaging, roll call, and visual references. Together, these give everyone a shared, up-to-date picture of what’s happening during an emergency.
